VALAMANZI LODGE
The Zulu name, Valamanzi, means “Close the Water”. Hence the lodge is located on an expansive dam boasting an island and walkway; a fisherman & adventurers dream. The lodge has a lapa with a kitchen, bar, dining room, TV area, indoor fireplace and braai. Should the lodge be booked by a group then all the facilities are for guest’s private use. In addition, there is a sparkling pool, children’s play area and expansive lawns cropped by warthog.
A large deck with dinging tables is great spot to enjoy dinners together under the stars.
Valamanzi is home to the 150-seater wedding venue which is fully equipped to make any wedding a spectacular occasion!
Each chalet has a bird’s eye view over the lovely dam with a large balcony to enjoy the expansive water, wildlife and the bird life in privacy. Bring your binoculars to have full enjoyment of the spectacle!
Chalet 1 is extremely spacious with two king size bedrooms, one with a sleeper couch in the room for children. In the bedroom there is a personal lounge area leading onto a dressing room and full modern bathroom. The kitchen is open plan with a nice lounge and extensive patio with a table. Two more single beds can be put into the dressing rooms for children or young guests on request.
Down a few steps is the sunroom, still part of Chalet 1, with a double bed, coffee facilities and a shower, basin and toilet with a great view!
For self-catering guests each chalet has its own braai. WIFI, wood, ice and daily service of the chalet is included.
Chalet 2, 3 & 4 each have their own kitchen, lounge and table on the patio for alfresco meals. Each has a spacious double bedroom with a dressing room and a full separate modern bathroom with oversized shower, bath, basin and toilet. Upstairs are twin beds in the cosy loft room. For self-catering guests each chalet has its own braai. WIFI, wood, ice and daily service of the chalet is included.
Valamanzi is the lodge that most international guests will be accommodated at when hunting with Nyati Wilderness. Perusing dangerous game or plains game using either a rifle or bow. We take pride in sustainable and ethical hunting practices using hunting, in part, to assist conservation.
Game drives, game walks, fishing & quad biking in the tranquil beauty of the bushveld will rejuvenate any soul.
